| The 1st of January
1998, 17 communes of the Aspres rally to instituate the Communauty
of Communes of the Aspres, the centre is based in Thuir. |
| Be in charge
of the development planning, actions of economic development, housing
policy …, it has as well vocation to create a dynamics about the
tourist development. |
| For one part
protected by the Aspres, montainous chain with scattered slopes
of hearty villages... and for an other part facing the plain and
Perpignan, the territory of the Communauty of Communes of the Aspres
is situated as well at the frontier between France and Spain. |

who shows an ideal compromise between Nature and economic development.
Mainly supported by the viticulture, secondarily the market gardening
(vegetables or fruits), the geographic zone of the Communauty of Communes
of the Aspres knows an economic expansion in parallel to the
agriculture, thanks to the installation of craftsmen, shopkeepers,
contractors, or essentially companies around three main centres (Thuir,
Llupia and Trouillas), without denaturating what makes the strenghth
of our local economy : the vineyard. |

Culture, tradition and celebrations hold a place of honour in
each communes. And the heritage religious as military, remaint
the reflection of our catalan History. |
